The Factory 5 control arms he's asking about are rear control arms. They
are what connects the rear axle to the rear subframe. Aftermarket rear
control arms are usually stronger than stock, so they won't flex as much.
most of them also come with polyurathane bushings, which reduces mushiness
in the rear suspension. My stock rubber bushings are so bad, when I punch
it in 2nd or 3rd, the rear axle actually steers the car and I have to
correct with the steering wheel. That's one reason I got the F5 control
arms. The lower arms are $150 for the pair, but for $50 more, you get some
nice uppers too. The uppers aren't as critical, but you'll get the
polyurathane bushings on the one end, and they're the same nice Ford-blue
to match the lowers. :)
