With my new GT, I know generic specs: SOHC v8 w/ 260 hp (302 ft-lb of
toque @ 4,000 rpms) blah blah blah. However, I'd like a more detailed
spec or stat chart for my vehicle--similar to what the 2001 Cobra SVT
brochure has, or what a car magazine might publish. 0-60, 1/4 times,
braking distances, top speed, etc.

I've searched the web for something like this to no avail. Any
pointers? I could get something like the g-tech pro and head to a local
track and try to generate some numbers... but not being a professional
driver, I'm quite certain everything would be inaccurate.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

Beetle

Motor Trend tested the 99 gt coupe. There is a chart of past test
drives in this months mag. You can order the complete test for a few
bucks.
0-60: 5.4
1/4 mile: 14.0
0-60: 122 feet
I have seen other specs of 5.6 and 14.1 for the gt.

It is much different than those specs in your URL. I have seen
different specs from different testing. I quess it is because of
weather conditions, drivers and etc. So who knows what the real specs
are? Just supercharge it, then it will be a lot faster or enjoy it
for what it is, a mustang. Or buy a Saleen with all the options like
the 365 hp and 400+ torque turbochagred engine. It will only cost you
around 50 grand.

It should run lower 14's at mid/high 90's, if raced in decent weather and on a
low elevation track.

My 99 GT is almost the same as your 2001 GT. Here are some stats that
I know, gathered from personal experience with the car and some car
mags:

Acceleration:
0-60: 5.4 seconds
1/4 mile 14.0@100

Braking:
60-0: 121 feet
Fade under continuous hard braking: Light

Handling:
Road holding index: 0.88 G

Top Speed: 149 Mph - drag limited
