I have one and it works great. One draw back is that it transfers some
transmission gear noise into the passenger cabin.

It's a good shifter. My brother drove my car for the first time and
found it crisper than his honda.

I have one, and love it. Depending on how naturally noisy the
transmission is, cabin noise may increase a bit, as with any good
performance shifter.

I've heard that Hearst and Pro-5.0's are good too. If price is an
object, you're going to be dissapointed. A good performance shifter is
not cheap. You WILL however, get what you pay for, if you buy a Steeda
Tri-Ax.

Kindly keep it FORD Country!

I have the Tri-Ax and it is MUCH better than stock. It will give you
positive and firm shifts. The only thing that drove me nuts is the
gear noise transmitted up the Steeda handle. I put the stock handle
back on, which has rubber insulators, and it cut down on the noise
considerably. The only drawback is that the stock handle has a longer
throw.

Refer to the last issue of 5.0 magazine. They did a test of a bunch of
shifters. From my reading, the Pro 5.0 came out ahead of the Tri-ax. The
Pro 5.0 also advertises that its design damps out most of the gear noise.
Noise is a common complaint about the Tri-ax.

My 2 cents

There is some noise with the Pro 5.0, but I actually like it. It is
not bothersome at all, and gives direct feedback as to how much power
is on the drivetrain. As I said in an earlier post, when I went to
change the shifter, I drove cars with all of the brands. To me, the
Pro 5.0 felt (and sounded) the best. Your milage may vary.
