With a 100 shot I would expect it to run AT LEAST 103-105mph. My friend runs
the 75hp NOS stage 1 kit. His car (88GT) runs 102mph naturally aspirated (his
is an exceptionally well-running stock motor) and 109-110mph with the juice.
This is through stock heads as well! It seems that stock 5.0 mustangs respond
very well to a modest stage 1 kit (75-100hp).

The days of an unreliable nitrous setup are over. NOS has a great stage 1 kit
(the one my friend has) and I highly recommend this kit for your car. It will
not hurt your engine provided the engine is not burning oil and is given enough
fuel for the nitrous. I believe this stage 1 kit automatically ramps up the
fuel pressure when the juice is on. I'm not sure if 24lb/hr injectors are an
absolute necessity for this kit. My opinion is that the stock 19lb/hr
injectors are good for a stock 225hp mustang. I would go with either 24 or
even 30lb/hr (to allow for future mods) injectors. Also, buy a good in-tank
fuel pump, say a 190 or 255 liter per hour pump.
Good Luck!

So what did he do wrong?... what does nitrous "tuning" entail? The
only thing I have done is got the in-line fuel pump, colder copper
plugs, and the MSD RPM switch. What else can I tune besides getting a
chip to retard my timing? I run 94 octane fuel...

Are you sure you want to get the chip? I've heard it's several hundred
bucks and is limited to a particular timing setting but you can adjust
the timing with the steeda timing adjuster which is cheaper and allows
to bary the timing. Here's where it's described:
