Hey Todd,

So, my original offer was refused, well then, how about $1,500, and I'll
pick it up this week........Don't have to worry about airfare, or the cost
of gas for the cross country trip back....Your choice........

Hey Bill,
Not that it is any of my business :), but isn't his car worth a little more
than he is asking for it? If he were in my neck of the woods (Alberta,
Canada), I would jump on the car, as it is very rare to see a 5.0
convertible listed for so cheap around here.

My 2cents,

hey Mike,

Only if it is a 5spd, for which it is not, as the automatic equipped cars
are not as sought after.........

I don't know what your original offer was since I didn't see the post.
I'm guessing you're not a real serious buyer judging by this offer...

BTW, some 5.0 automatic Mustangs are popular out here in southern
California. I'll be the first to admit that the performance drops off
quite a bit, but not having to shift in 5:00 traffic is a dream come true
some days.

Yours in $3,000 Mustang convertibles,
Todd

Hey Todd,

Since I am a serious bidder, but do not want to waste my time or yours,
$2,000 and I'll worry about delivery, $3,000, and you deliver to NJ by enclosed
trailer........

Why not? At least you know it would be in good hands... BTW, Bill has owned
almost 40 Mustangs, so he should know the market value.

If he were to bring it to Edmonton, Alberta, I would give him $3000 for it
(Canadian funds, of course). How about it, Todd? Bring me the car, stay in
town for a week, and I'll show you the sites, to boot (ever heard of West
Edmonton Mall? Or, do you like hockey?)

I've owned about twenty 5.0 Mustangs of various years and modifications.
I consider myself to be relatively familiar with the market, too. I
think $3,000 is a fair price for a clean, no rust, well maintained 5.0
convertible. They make great drivers for sunny days and the SoCal beach
area.

Hey Woody,

personally, I like the 5spd, not much into drag racing a convertible,
........

Yours in Fords,

Bill S.

PS: there is a 84 GT convertible in todays local paper...84,000 original
miles, not sure if it is a 5spd or an automatic, but with an asking price of
$3,400 how can I go wrong............

Is it in NJ or PA? Just curious, I love the '84 GT's.

Don't worry, I don't have the money for it, unless I get rid of my '84
Turbo.

Wayne

Good Luck

Until you consider that in 1985 the automatic equipped GTs were down about 50
HP over their 5-speed brothers and had CFI and non-roller engines

the best deal that i've ever seen was when me and a friend saw a '90
Corvette with a forsale sign on the front lawn while going to college.

the lady wanted $10,000....and this was in 1991!!!

car was in perfect condition....and it turned out that the reason she
wanted to get rid of it was because her husband was found dead in it
(natural causes).

unfortunately, i only had about $200 to my name that my mommy gave me.
