What do you guys think of Southside lift bars? I am thinking of getting
them for my 1988 Mustang GT. I have 3.73 gears and a few bolt-ons. I am
having some traction problems.

If the car is lowered I would advise against it. You would loose way too
much ground clearance. Otherwise they are a good way to get traction. You
may want to just do a shock, strut, and spring change for a mildly moded
stang. That should get you some extra bite.

I have a set on my 99GT that is lowered and I have no problems. I would
suggest that you do not go 4wheelin with them. They are way better than
stock, but I am going to look for something that will give me that OHMYGOD I
am stuck to the ground feeling. These lift bars I had on my 90 GT and moved
them over to the 99 GT.

I have them on my car and it helps alot. However, that's not the only thing
to do. You must get the car to roll to the rear on launch, weight transfer
is the thing. Drag shocks are the ticket for that, they make a wonderfull
job at letting your front end up. Also, I have my battery in the trunk.
Upper control arms are important too, but just get a good set of rigid ones,
the adjustable ones are useless on those kind of set-ups.

Hope this helps
