"This plans are 100% legal to own"
The plans are, sure - if all you're going to do is own the plans. It's
when you build and *use* the jammer that it becomes illegal.

For the record, I agree that the concept of a radar jammer is stupidity...
However...I gotta disagree with you on this. If that would actually
happen, your lawyer would get that thrown out in 10 seconds, because you
need probable cause to pull someone over and impound a car. And a
malfunctioning radar gun is NOT probable cause.
Also - unless you are the only car on the road at the time, they won't know
WHICH car coming down the highway is jamming them.
JD
NOTHING short of stupidity and idiocity on the cops side
can allow you to zoom past a cop at 100mph..just not gonna happen.
Now a rader jammer is illegal..yup.
But you won't go to jail for it...
The reason it's illegal is not because you are jamming the cops radar,
it's only illegal because you have no license to broadcast a signal and
that is against FCC regulations and you may get fined for that.
The one thing a jammer *can* do is however is buy you time.
The way you do it right is, hook it up to your radar detector...
If the radar detector detects a signal...have the jammer do something
like a 5 second burst where it jams...
That will give you 5 seconds to slow the car down, if that is not enough
time,
you're goin so fast anyway that no matter what you do you're caught.
Then once the 5 seconds are over, the jammer stops and the cop can get a
reading,
by which time you're no longer speeding..and you're in the clear.
That's the right way to do it :) have fun!

Years ago in my reckless days, an electronics expert friend of mine
and I built our own "Radar Jammer" out of an old microwave oven. We
built an oscillator circuit to vary the output frequency of the
magnetron tube from 10 to 25 Ghz, which I think is about the range of
X and K band radar. We needed a high power inverter for use in the
car since this thing drew about 500 watts. If these plans are
anything similar, you'd better be careful or you could get hurt. We
built wire mesh shielding around the thing and integrated it with a
radar detector. The detector would trip a relay that activated the
"jammer" when the it picked up a signal. I highly recommend doing
this so the thing isn't always "on". My friend used it for about 6
months before the tube fried from running it at such a high frequency.
He never got pulled over during that time though. He had a mint 1978
Vette with a 454 (extreme cop magnet).

The argument was that the laser uses two pulses to measure your speed
and that the gun or operator couldn't guarantee that the pulse hit the
car in the same place both times. Meaning that the reading could be
wrong if the first pulse hit the front of your car and the second
pulse hit your windshield or farther back on the car. The defense
even brought in a NASA laser expert to testify.

Not sure what the exact output of the unit was. But it used over 3
amps AC, so we're guessing around 500 watts. Not sure what would
happen to a sensitive receiver like the cops radar gun or other radar
detectors in other cars. I doubt it would fry it, but it would most
certainly inhibit it's ability to take a reading.
Here in CT, all the state police use laser and radar. Even most of the
municipalities use both.

Nothing to differ over. I don't live in CT(I stated in FL I don't
know of any that use it) and the article was the article. I didn't
write I just read it.
