First I would like to thank all those here for their help and suggestions on
the door locks...I have some great links with pics and instructions on changing
the locks.

Now...I have another question.....It appears that my driver side lock is dead
as far as using it with the power door lock button..which would indicate the
actuator...but the lock works great when using the key on the door.

Does that mean the actuator is still bad or could be something else?

I don't mind pulling the door apart to change it, but would hate to discover
that it was something else.

Thanks again

The only true way to tell is to verify power to the lock motor and bench test
the motor itself. The lock motor has two wires, to test apply + to 1 terminal
and - to the other. Reverse your leads on the motor to operate it in the
reverse direction. same applies to testing for power.Make sure you try both
power combinations to insure you are not only getting power to raise but to
lower as well.
