The last Mustang I owned was a 87 GT and I am out of the loop.
Thanks,

They show 5 more HP than yours. I wonder why? Different dyno machines?

The 1995 was the last year of the 302. 1996 began the 4.6 modular
engine.

One local dealer here, had two new '95 Cobra convertibles
sitting in his lot until almost the '97 model year because
no one wanted the relatively low HP '95 models. Both even
had the, then, optional removable hardtop, and they still
could not get rid of them.

Color me nostalgic, but I'd prefer a 1995 Cobra over the newer models
any day. Sure, the 1996+ cars have more HP/TQ out of the box but a
guy has so many more options at hand with the old 302ci mill if he
wants to get his hands dirty and mod the thing.
At present I know that I don't want to stay with the 4.6L engine for
the long haul. Whether this means I'll let the 1998 GT go down the
road or if I'll yank the drivetrain and drop in a 351W, I'm not yet
sure. Either way, I *will* return to the pushrod engine eventually.
