Can anyone recommend where to get new hatchback lift struts for a 88LX?
(hit in the head one time too many)

Several places sell them........you could try your local auto parts store or
Ford dealer. Or you could go to Texas Mustang Parts at www.texasmustang.com
and order them online for around $15 a piece. If you look in the magazine
Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords there is a company in Georgia called
Interactive Systems and Technologies that sells them for $12.95 a piece. I
just replaced the ones on mine and I got them from Texas Mustang.

Better yet... just go to Pep Boys or Auto Zone (or any other decent parts
store). I think they are ~19 bucks which is what you will pay at the mail
order places after shipping charges.... And you don't have to wait 7 to 10 days
either.
