My wife just picked up a '98 Neon 5 speed and the next day while
driving to work found that she was experiencing a great deal of
discomfort in her left thigh joint. She described this as feeling
like a pinched nerve. No amount of seat adjusting or body shifting
brought relief. Her leg didn't bother her at any time before or since
driving the car--only while actually driving. I have experienced this
in the past myself only on very long trips (with different vehicles,
obviously).

Is this unique to the seat position (or body support) of a Neon? I
need to make a quick decision while I can still return the car.

Chrysler seems to have a patent on uncomfortable seats in their smaller
cars. Try an Obusform and see if that helps.

I have a REALLY bad left knee and ive never had the slightest bit of
abnormal pain in my 5 spd neon. It sounds like a unique problem to me.

Btw: My knee is screwed up from hockey. a Torn tendon and a bunch of torn
cartilage.

may be Neon and bad knee are for each other. Good knee needs not apply!
