Victory !!!!!
I have accepted delivery of a new 1996 Chevrolet Berrata.
Red. 3.1 litre 6 cyl.
I am sorry I can't post as much Chrysler hate mail as I did in the past
because I will be enjoying my new car instead of sitting around waiting for a
part.
I will make guest appearances to this news group now and then however.
Don't put yourself to any trouble on our account. And please note: this
group is NOT rec.autos.iluvmychevy so no need to post anything along
those lines here.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new automobile.
I hope that it serves you well, with a minimum of trouble.
Should you wish to express how wonderful you Chevrolet is, please note that this
newsgroup is for Chrysler vehicles. Checking the newsgroup listings I do not see
a alt.auto.makers.chevrolet, but I do see a alt.auto.makers.saturn which is an
offshoot of General Motors, Chevrolet's parent.
Just remember, no matter which manufacturer's automobile you buy, from time to
time ANY vehicle is going to need repairs. Preventive maintenance does a lot to
head off any problems, but things do break or wear out occasionally. Try not
to get so upset. As inconvenient as these things are, these things happen. All
we can do is try to maintain our vehicles in the most appropriate manner and
continue our lives.

Is that a threat, stay away PLEASE!!!!!
Or we could always "haunt" the Chevy newsgroup for retaliation!! I have
some amazing horror stories about a bowtie pickup I bought new; the
service manager at the dealership drove it more often than I did for the
first year or so (when it was running, anyway).

I kinda wished you've bought a Ford Mustang, Mazda Miata or a Honda, so
that I can *see you again* with your hate posting(s) on these newsgroups
:-). Currently, there is no such "r.a.m.GM" for you to vent your future
agony - if and when you have them...
As previous postings on this same thread already mentioned, please do not
assume this newsgroup as such r.a.m.GM for your ventilation.
Good luck on your new vehicle, anyway!

What?!? No German car?!? I'm surprised...
Maybe we should warn rec.autos.makers.chevy (gm?) that you're on your
way to complain about your new car to high heaven and expect them to put up
with you... nah... they should be used to that kind of thing by now.

Oh, woe is me. I am truly saddened to hear that...

Well, let's hope so.
Just for interest's sake, let me let you in on a few secrets about your car.
hmmm. SHould you need the alternator replaced, the car must be hoisted up
and the engine lowered out of the car. Replaceing the spark plugs may
involve a hoist and removal of a motor mount.
And, good luck on the transmission, if you got the auto. After your warranty
has expired for about 90 days, it's likely to allow you to become aquainted
with a nice tow-truck operator... That's ok, I'm sure the driving experience
of General Motor's most similar car to the Shadow will be superb, and lead you
to forget all about it's mechanical design flaws.
