Where can I go to purchase guaranteed good quality, new parts for my 83 CJ?
I'm looking for a hood (fiberglass), defroster duct, side mirrors, heater
cable set, glove box, hood tie down's and catches etc.. Many other assorted
parts, mostly dash and under dach parts. I will also be purchasing a new
top/doors and want new hardware, or a place where I can have the old
hardware chromed or powder coated. I live ~ 50 miles south of Houston, Tx.
Your good advice is appreciated.

Without trying to sound like a sales pitch...4WD Hardware is my rag of
choise...mail order. I've never had a problem with quality or delivery with
them. Beyond that I would stay away from JCwitney. I have had more than one
quality issue with their stuff. You won't find much of anything at
dealerships as most of the stuff has been discontinued. http://www.4wd.com/
is the address

Check local junkyards...you live south so there should be much stuff waiting
for you there. Good luck...you made a fine choice. I run a'79 '5.

I concur on the JC Whitney issue. I bought a 1 piece fiberglass front end
for a 65 cj years ago, it looked good sitting on the floor, didn't fit good
at all. Same with the cheap hardware.

Driving a 2000 Cherokee now.
