I'm stumped. I've got a 1966 Lincoln and I'm doing a little work, and
I cannot for the life of me find the freakin' fuse panel! I know it's
got one, I've got a manual, but it doesn't show where it is. I've
looked everywhere under the dash, under the hood, in the trunk.
Am I missing something? Is Ford playing some big joke on me? This
sucker HAS to have a fuse panel somewhere. And by the list of
everything in it, it's a biggun' too!
Anyone have a 64-69 Continental and can maybe shoot me an idea of
where this sucker is hiding at?
Hey - while I'm at it, I'm looking for a driver's side door and rear
quarter panel for a 2-door 66 lincoln. some jerk hit and ran me in a
parking lot and neglected to leave a note, so i got a 6 foot scrape
down the side of the car ending with a nice munch in the wheel well.
Gimme a good deal and you've got a new best friend.
Thanks

I have a '64 Lincoln, and the actual fuses are located behind a small
removable pannel in the front of the glove box. Luckily mine was off
when I bought it. :) There is also a set of circuit breakers, and
other electrical components behind the passenger side kick panel. Just
remove the carpet, and it'll be there. That's where I found the fuse
for the horn (go figure). It's an interesting vehicle. Tons of
spaghetti to get lost in. :) The fun starts when you have to go
through the vacume hoses. :) :) :)

Nope. It is next to the glove box on the passenger side of the car.
Just to the right of it.
A little door should flip down if you gently pull on it.
One of the easiest, best located fuse boxes... If you know where
it is!
- Doogie - who drove his 66 Continental Convertible to go
surfing this past weekend. 80, sunny and dry here in Hermosa Beach.
MY '67 fuse panel is to the left of the glove compartment. There is a
hidden padded door which flips down.
I am looking for brake (left front disc) caliper and rotor.
Also, My hood release broke and now I can't shut my hood for fead of not
being able to open it again. Are there any kits available to remedy
this, Or maybe hood pins??
Thanks

Give a look at a local junkyard if available. You can usually find
good parts for alot less dollars there. I found a heat/ac control
assembly for my 64 at a local yard for $5 in practically perfect
condition. The mail order place wanted $65. Also try asking at a
good local parts shop. I found one in my town that carries most of the
standard wear items for my 64 at very reasonable prices. But, when
you can't find it locally, give the guys at Baker's Auto, Inc. a
call. They handle parts for Lincolns. I've had very good results
from them. Fast turn around and decent quality. The only drawback is
that you will pay more. The standard going rates for typical items,
though. $129 for the caliper $150 for the rotor from the parts list
I have.....and a guess on the hood cable of around $20. Was about how
much my wiper control cable was. Bakers can be contacted at
1-860-928-7614 for consultation and 1-800-962-9228 for ordering.
Their consultation services are great. Helped me alot since this is my
first Lincoln. And a great car it is. Hope this helps
