Nellie Belle was Roy Roger's sidekick's Jeep. His sidekick's name was
Pat, I believe.

Pat Brady, wasn't it? I seem to recall the horses were faster and that
Pat was usually out of control or stuck.

Pat Buttram, I think. Looked sorta like General Schwartzkopf. ;)

The guy was Pat Butram. He did some other stuff after "Roy Rogers," but I
forget exactly what it was. Maybe Petticoat Junction??

No, Pat Butram(Mr. Haney on "Green Acres") had been a horse-riding
sidekick of Roy and Dale in the movies, but I believe it was Pat BRADY
that piloted Nelly Belle on the TV series. Does anyone remember if the
Jeep every helped in an episode? Is she on display with Trigger and
Bullet in Apple Valley?

Pat Butram (sp)? was Roy's sidekick in the movies. He played Mr. Haney in
"Green Acres" which was a spinoff on "Petticoat Junction".

Pat Brady was Nellybelle's driver.

I used to watch too much TV.

Pat Brady was the sidekick to Roy and the driver of the Jeep and that is
his real name. Before 'The Roy Rogers Show' in 1951-57 he played in about
25 movies...he died Feb 27 1972.

Does anyone remember the name of the ranch?
Dales horse name?
How about the dogs name?

I also watched to much TV..:)

Wasn't it something like the "Double R Bar" ranch?

>Dales horse name?

Buttercup?

>How about the dogs name?

Bullet?

Just guessing ( I have a great memory, but it's awfully short)...

I think I read in the 70's or 80's that it was out to Apple Valley at
the RR museum.
I have a hard time not saying, "Whoa, Nelly Belle!" whenever I go down a
steep hill.
Now I'm thinking about the Hamm's Beer Bear that had a friend with a CJ.
