I'm looking for a subwoofer to add to my AV system. I have
the DSP-A1000 with Cambridge SoundWorks Ensemble as the main
speakers. My budget is around $350. I guess I'll need a powered
sub. I was thinking about the Cambridge SoundWorks Sub, but
$600 is too much...

The Yamaha SW100 is going for around $350, and it's powered with
a 70wt amp and has a variable crossover from 40-140hz. Is this
compatible with the A1000?? What are some of the other
choices out there?? What about JBL's new powered sub?

...about connecting a sub to the A1000. The A1000 have a sub out
that it sends 200hz or lower to it. Should I use this to hook
up the sub? Or should I just connect it using the main speaker
terminals??

Thanks,

Cassian

I think some of the shops here are using an Energy sub in their home theatre
demo setups.
