One advantage to the pre-amp / power-amp combination is that, if you wanted to
in the future, it would be fairly easy to convert to a bi-amplified setup by
buying another power amp and an active crossover. By the same token, I would
guess that there are probably some integrated amps that have a pre-amp out /
power-amp in loopback to offer the same functionality. ... Just something to
consider.

Two advantages of an integrated amp are: It takes up less room and
costs less (generally).
Dis-advantages (IMHO) are:
> Only one power supply. Seperate units have seperate supplies.
> If you dislike part of the unit, you have to replace the whole thing..
ie: If you really liked the power amp section, but the preamp section
didn't sound that great...or it doesn't have enough inputs...etc
seperate units allow you the flexibility of replacing the preamp
and keeping the power amp (and visa-versa). Of course...let's
see, where's my hacksaw :).
I'm sure that there are others, but these come to mind at the moment.
