I've added a second CD drive to my PC and can't conveniently use the
Microsoft "Media Player" anymore (it has no way to specify the drive).
So I'm looking for a Windows CD player app with the following features:

* Supports Toshiba XM-3201B and XM-3401B (connected via Trantor SCSI
on MediaVision PAS16 card, with upgrade to PCI Adaptec expected later).

* Can specify drive in command line (or .INI or preferences menu)

* Play/Stop/Pause/Eject/Scan

* Display of TOC (table of contents)

* Track step, seek to time

* Programmable would be nice, but ONLY if it can store the media
ID and program ("favorite track", aka "custom file").

Commercial/share/freeware are all acceptable.

Bob,

The CD Audio Player that comes with Corel Professional Photo CD's
is pretty good, even creates a DB2 database of Media ID's and
track numbers/lengths (only truly usable with their program). Let's
you specify which drive letter you want to play an audio Cd from.

The product is not made by Corel, but bundled with their Photo-CD
stuff. I will try to find out who makes it tonight and e-mail
you from home (my work account doesn't have internet e-mail, just
usenet access.)

...Later,

Walt

I've just completed a thorough look at all the PD/Shareware Windows Audio
CD players and have decided on CD-Audio.

It's shareware but you only have to write/e-mail the author to register it.

Have a look. It's available from CICA and lots of other places.

TTFN,

Do you have multiple CD-ROM's?
Guess it's time for me to upgrade my own hardware! :-)
