Second generation MD hardware?

A couple of months ago there was a report that Sony would be releasing
their second generation version of the Mini Disk system in November. Has anyone
had a chance to play with the new machines (are they out yet)? Thanks

About a month ago Sony held their expo here in Hawai'i. They displayed
two new second generation MD players. I really didn't have a chance to
play with the new machines since they were prototypes (they were locked in
a glass box). One I could tell you though is that they are about half the
size of the MZ-1. They are really small!!
