Hello fellow vintage audio fans. Due to the overwhelming success of the
repro Fisher style brass knob cap, I am announcing the arrival of a Scott
style knob cap. The glue used by Scott was not as bad as the stuff Fisher
used, but I know there are many naked Scott knobs out there. These caps are
more complex and therefore more difficult to produce than the Fisher style
ones. They are now available at $5 US each + shipping. $50 US shipping
included for 12 pieces. Thanks! Best regards, Steve.

I know of two different kinds of knob caps, the brass ring type (eg Scott
272) and the solid aluminum(?) type (eg Scott 340B). Could you describe
the type of caps you are selling?

Thanks and Cheers,

Chris

Hi Chris. These are the decorative CAPS that are glued to the tip of the
plastic Scott type knobs. The solid metal knobs do not have a cap on the
tip. Best regards, Steve.

Hi Steve,

Yeah, I also have a Scott 399 with the solid anodized knobs, they are yet a
third kind I guess.

My Scott 340B has one knob missing its aluminum cap (I'm guessing the
metal). Can you confirm that your reproductions are of that type. Also,
how well do they match existing caps? IOW, would the reproduction be
obvious next to the originals?

Last question: what type of glue would you recommend when sticking your
reproductions onto the knobs?

Thanks and cheers,

Chris.
