ECC807, is this equiv. of ecc83?

Hi,

I have found a ECC807 valve, the spec looks similar to an ECC83, can it be used as a straight swap?

Thanks, lucky I checked B4 I plugged it in, different heater voltage for a start! Can anyone
suggest a use for it?

ECC 807 was one of the last audio preamp valves that was developed in
Europe. I think it was only made by Brimar, UK. It is very scarce
nowadays. It was used in a few amplifiers, mainly Rogers and some
Brimar designs. ECC 807 has a very high gain (u = 150) (ECC 83: u=100)

As far as I know, 13D7 shall be similar to ECC 807

Thanks for the replies, I think I will ebay it and look for some ecc83, If I mod the amp to suit it
I don't think I would find a replacement in the future, looks like it's a rare one.
