Help on NEC 6RA8 tube used in Luxman SQ38D integrated amplifier would be=20
appreciated.

Is the tube or an equivalent available and where, how much ...?

If this is really a 6R-R8 (common Japanese device), you can drop a 5847
into the socket with impunity. My 1968 NEC book doesn't have a 6RA8
listed, though that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

6R-A8 was designed originaly by NEC, like other their Hi-Fi triode
final tubes, 6C-A10, 8045G. All of them are tetrode but internaly triode
connected beam tubes. There are no substitute at all. Some of them are
still avairable in Tokyo, and it was about $30. If you need Data of tubes
let me know.
