Marantz CD Players as transports

Hello All,

I am in the market for a cd player. I don't want to pay a lot for a
player right now that will be obsolete in a few months. My question is this:
used just as a transport is the Marantz cd 48 any differend than the cd 63
or cd67? I know they use the same mechanism but is there any difference to
the digital output? My thinking right now is to buy an MSB Link DAC and pair
it with a cd48 instead of buying a cd67se. Any thoughts?
