Open the cabinet and secure the spring tanks with foam blocks. It
wouldn't hurt to dismount the elctronics cards and ship them
separately or bubble-wrap and tape securly to the inside bottom. AKG
recommended that they be transported upright.although Hank Alrich
moved a pair from WA to Northern CA on their sides without any harm
being done.

We stuffed the cabinets so that the tanks and everything else were
secured in medium-firm cushioning, then wrapped them in shipping
blankets, wrapped again with plastic tarps, laid them down on padding,
and strapped them into the bed of a pickup.
They didn't sound any worse or any better on arrival than they had on
departure.
And to think the guy got rid of 'em because he needed space for pet
food.
