Yamaha Motif MIDI Question!

Does anyone know how to put a Motif6 keyboard into the mode that
allows it to function as a 16 channel MIDI sound source? Can't find
it in the manual and itis NOT intuitive!

I have the rack version .... it is always in 16 Midi mode ... switch
on and hit the 'Multi' button ....

You are right that it is not very user friendly .... anytime I leave
it for a week or two I have terrible trouble trying to remember how to
access the pages and parameters. I eventuially get there.

I also tend to stick a small 'post-it' note at the top of the manual
page giving the answer to a problem with my own notes written on ...
saves a lot of time.

I think I'm going to write it on the wall with a Sharpie! I've
figured this out and forgotten a dozen times! Part of the problem is
that I don't do a lot of MIDI production anymore - mostly live
recording. I consider that to be a GOOD thing! But I'm beginning to
think I need an Alzheimer's Anonymous meeting!
