I am using Cooledit Pro 2.0 with big fun. But I don't know how to
change the starting point of a waveform on a track. Can somebody tell
me?
Thank You
Eric
I assume you're in Multitrack View and wanting to move the entire waveform.
Right-click and drag. This gave me hell for the longest time. Such a
simple task.
Also take a look at:

I think it depends how far you want to move the block. My fingers aren't
precise enough for moving a block 20 milliseconds via the click and drag
method, so the cut and silence method is what I use for small moves.
Actually, editing the properties block is probably the best way to move
blocks small disances.
Next project...

Phew - I was worried that I would have to type that suggestion, "right
click and properties" is the key to a lot of actions in that multitrack
window.

Will be the simultanous recording made on a portable casette recorder
low on batteries that happens to contain audio from while tapes are
switched on the "official" recording of a seminar .... T H E T R A C k
s S T A R t 3 DB L O U der T H an T hey end and speed is varispeed
over the 45 minutes of track, some tracks seem to contain quite much
more audio than they normally could.
What annoys me somewhat is that I have gotten usable audio from
something that had no meter movement and lots and lots of noise caused
by someone having played the tape repeatedly on a magnetized deck. Just
getting rid of the extreme amount of VLF helped. This matters because I
did not bother about copying the last reeel or reel when I made a copy
of the original tapes in 1984. I actually got audible speech from what
was next to nothing but noise. Morale: THERE WILL BE BETTER OPTIONS
TOMORROW, SAFEGUARD ALL OF IT.
Kind regards
Peter Larsen
