Hi I don't know if it is the right place to ask so please tell med where
to ask if this is the wrong place

I need a boom pole fore ENG-recording on the fly, it have to bee stored
on my backpack and take a beating on the job

what about K-tek 79ccr or Rycote A5 or any better?

What shock mount can hold both my k6/me66 or EV-re50?

Best regards

You're probably better off in rec.arts.movies.production.sound.

The more rugged it's going to be, the heavier it's going to be. The Rycote
is probably more rugged than the K-tek but it also weighs a lot more.

Why not use the shock mounts designed for each? They need slightly different
tuning depending on the weight of the mike.

How much pole to you need?

If you're only doing run & gun, probably a 9 or 12 footer will do.

I got a 16 foot carbon fiber K-tek, because I do different things and wanted
a light pole with a big reach. With 16:9 studio shots, I can still lock down
my pole in a stand, reach the talent and still be out of frame.

I have a shorter K-tek, a 9 footer with internal cord that collapses small
enough to put in carry on luggage, but I've never used it.

Hi

It is for the moments where you have to record sound from a hard to
reach source, like a person surrounded by journalists ;-)
Or places where you just want the extra space or want to get the mike
above a crowd, but i have to put it on my backpack and maybe running
whit it so i don't want it to get cough in anything while on my back.

The best would be a 1 foot to 20 feet but i don't exists.

About the shock mount, I have to change the mike wary fast and have to
have a 22.5 mm/Ø to 25.4 mm/Ø mike on it
