Thoughts on Lance

If anything I thought he handled the Oprah interview superbly. He spoke with
clarity, humility, class and grace. The emotional pain he felt was almost
palpable as he grimaced through Oprah's yes/no opening gambit. Regardless of
the circumstances, he is an athlete like no other. I mean this guy came 3rd
in the 2009 Tour when he was clean and in his late 30s. Pure indomitable
spirit I say.

Regarding the way he treated his detractors, it's regrettable, but to err is
human.

In the end, the guy is practically a humanitarian. He should be given a
medal the size of a frying pan.

Thanks for seven years of pure magic, Lance.
