What are peoples opinion of pioneer stable platter cd players..?

I~ve just recently brought (as an budget hi-fi component ) a pioneer PD-S707
stable platter cd player... i love the sound of it, but i was wondering if
any of you more experienced net-heads could give me any feedback or
impressions about a) either this model or B) the stable platter cd players
in general..
I heard so much hype about the legato link mechanism that i`m not sure
myself..

The Legato Link wotsit thingy (Legato Link Conversion?) AIUI is a
fundamentally flawed attempt to 'recover' the 'lost' >20kHz information
from a CD electronically. Not a part of the physical mechanism.
