I am presently in the process of upgrading a pair of Duntech
Marquis speakers. I very much like the sound of them and
therefore would like to stay with Duntechs or possibly Dunlavys.
The primary reason for the upgrade is to get more bass response
than the Marquis's have (45 Hz). One possibility is the Duntech
Black Knight (28 hZ). However I want to make sure the Black
Knight does everything else as good as the Marquis, ie, detailed,
transparent, and great imaging, but with more bass. I was hoping
that someone either has owned both these speakers or knows the
Duntech line well enough to give a compartive analysis bwtween
the two. Is the Knight truly a step up? Also what years were they
made and where did they fit in the line? Another possibility, but
for a good deal more money, is the Dunlavy V. Has any body heard
both the Knight and Dunlavy V enough to compare them? How far
superior is the V to the Black Knight? Thanks in advance for your
comments!! -Skip

The Marquis were from a higher grade line of Duntech speakers than the
Black Nights.
I know someone who owned the Black Nights and also listened
extensively to the Marquis - he considered the Marquis a much better
speaker.
