Opinions on Krell KAS-2 Needed

I am actually very new to the high end audio but I have a chance to buy
a set of audio equipment for a very low price. However, the problem is
I need to choose between a Krell KAS-2 and Krell FPB600. I was not able

to get any specifications or reviews on the KAS-2 as it has been
discontinued. Any comments on how the FPB600 and KAS-2 sound are much
appreciated.

Hi, you missed out your speakers. That will determine to a large extent
your choice. Anyway make sure you have enough 20 amps wall plugs for the
KAS2. You choose between a very well controlled low end(FPB600) on EVERY
speaker or one of the best mid/high a solid emp can ever gives you on the
right speaker(KAS2). In other words, the 600 will give you an 8.5 average
on most speakers and a 9.5 on a best matched speaker. KAS2 will give you a
8 on most speakers and a 10 if mated to the right speakers. For me the
choice is definitely the KAS2. Hope it helps.
