**Here's the thing:

The US$15.00/hour matches Australia's minimum wage. Tick.
The US is still the wealthiest nation on Earth. Tick.
The US can afford to help it's lowest paid workers.

A HUGE part of the reason why so many Americans are unemployed is down
to Trump's incompetent handling of the COVID-19 crisis. Biden now has to
clean up Trump's mess.

Fortunately, he won't have to fight McTortoise and his band of seditionists
every step of the way like Obama did.

**Let's hope. I've read that there a couple of right-leaning Dems that
may not allow everything through.

Hey, good news about the HRA huh?

Let's hope this is the beginning of the end of those evil cunts.

How do you define wealthiest?
The only measure the US leads with is total GDP.
In GDP per capita...we're a mere 5th according IMF and 8th according to UN and World Bank.

This is about as simplistic and moronic as Stephen's support of "harm reduction" for meth.

**WOW! *Only* 5th place. Out of what? 200 and something?

**Sure it's simple. Paying people a living wage is just good, common sense.

Fewer economists follow the minimum wage orthodoxy these days. In 2015,
only 26% agreed a $15/hr would "substantially lower employment among
lower wage workers."

The 1994 study is here:

Don't get excited: the author is *Alan* Kruger.

Not always. Making menial jobs that once were teenage part time jobs discourages people from seeking real job skills.
My first job was McDonalds, now they want you bilingual with a HS diploma if you are US educated.
Funny how that works. Anyway, part time jobs for teens are disappearing along with the work ethic they teach.

Anyway...whats 300,000 lost jobs to you? You just sit on your perch and claim it was for the best.
