Unfortunately, only God. John disappeared YEARS ago and, to my
knowledge, has never benn found. There was a story concerning his
strange disappearance in "The Abso!ute Sound" some time ago. I owned
the Eagle 2, Eagle 2A and Eagle 2C, all wonderful amps for the price.
I've seen advertisements by a company in Kansas City for upgrades but
can't provide any information about them.
Cheers,
Jack

Try calling James Bongiorno in California at 805-963-1122. He and
John were friends/acquaintences, and James seems quite familiar with
these amplifier designs. If there's anyone who can improve your
amplifier, it'd be James Bongiorno. He's not too shabby a designer
himself ....

Mr. Bongiorno is currently I believe undergoing treatment for liver cancer.
Eagle upgrades and repairs are done by Rus Sherwood... you can get him at

James Bongiorno has Hepatitis C, and fortunately it is not yet at the
critical and life threatening stage. However, the disease does
progress. There is a fund attempting to raise money to help him out
with the enormous costs involved. Apparently MediCal won't cover
this and there is also a problem with getting any insurance to cover
it for him.
That said, James is currently alive 'n kicking, feisty as ever. I
visited with him at WCES 99 and he looked great, considering all he's
been through. His GAS/SAE/Sumo reworks are garnering much praise,
he's also working on other products that seem worthy of upgrading,
and he's completing two new amplifier designs, the 'Rex' and it's
bigger brother, the 'T-Rex'. He's always believed in naming his
products.
James and John Iverson were/are friends, or 'drinking buddies' as Mr.
Bongiorno puts it, and James does have complete schematics to the
Eagle amplifiers. He is also quite familiar with Mr. Iverson's ideas
regarding amp design.
I don't know Rus Sherwood. Was he working with Electron Kinetics?
It would be great to know of more people who understand John
Iverson's thinking with the Eagle amplifiers. They were/are well
regarded, and it would be interesting to know how much better they
could get based upon ideas from people who know the amps best.

Rus, like all of John Iversons comrades, was too a drinking buddy of
his. He is intimately familiar with all of the JI Eagle products and
maintains a company called the Electron Kinetic Service Company
(EKSC) that not only repair and update older products but occasionaly
come out with new ones bearing the Eagle name.
