I just bought a used Fostex T825 slottweeter.
It sounds impressive but I can't find any specs on the internet. The Fostex
website doesn't provide an email-adress to get information.
I did find plenty of info on the T925a. The size and weight of the two are
the same.
My question is: are these drivers the same?
That is: is the T825 the "slot-version" of the T925a horn-tweeter?

Pretty normal, as the T825 is quite an old model. It's listed in the Aug
'78 Fostex catalog, but has disappeared in the '83 edition...

The original T925 is listed at 1.78 kg, the 925a at 2 kg, the T825 at
2.1 kg.

Here are the specs I've got :

T825
Imp. 8 Ohms
Frequency range 2 ~ 20 KHz (the 925 is listed at 5 ~40 KHz)
Efficiency 102 dB (vs. 108 dB for the 925)
Crossover frequency 4 KHz or over (vs. 7 KHz and over for the 925 and 6
KHz and over for the 925a)
Voice coil 2 cm/aluminium
Magnet weight 240 g AlNiCo

If I do remember correctly, the 825 was quite a close relative,
performance wise, of the JBL 2405. And the 925 is very close to the
2402.
