Stabilant 22A is a contact ENHANCER, and DeoxIT products are contact
CLEANERS. Stabilant works. Even NASA uses it as does the US military
(it even has a mil-spec number) and the US automotive industry. I have
solved many an electrical bug-a-boo in my Italian sports car with
Stabilant 22A.
As far as audio is concerned, if you think about it, Stabilant is
probably redundant. While it's always a good idea to keep one's mating
surfaces clean on both interconnect interfaces and switch contacts. A
good contact already has pretty close to zero resistance anyway, so what
is better than NO resistance? In aerospace and even in cars, vibration
is an issue, and Stabilant ostensibly reduces failure in contacts due to
connections moving around. But a stereo system is pretty quiescent once
the various connectors are mated, and unless you have connections of
different materials (such as tin on gold, or tin on silver, etc.)
There's probably no point.
