It is certainly true that alumni hire from their Alma mater. I think
that it is also true that the University of Phoenix has members
everywhere...but I'm less sure about graduates. I always thought of
that school as one of those 'continuing education' places where people
that have already graduated college go to take a class or two so they
can keep current with something or expand a needed job skill. Looking
at wiki, it seems they have 1/4million students...down from 600,000 at
the beginning of the decade. The average age of undergraduates is
33...so either people who already went to school or people who waited
until long after high school to start their higher education.
Side note: In last night's debate Trump was asked about letting
foreigners stay in the country after they graduate from US colleges and
he started out sounding so smart as he discussed the need to keep
valuable skills in the country. Then, he mentioned schools by
name...Harvard and Wharton...as if the 'valuable skills' this country is
in need of involve yet more liberal arts major turned lawyers,
politicians, and CEO wannabees. Those folks are a dime a dozen. It is
the doctors, engineers, and scientists that we should be trying to keep
in this country after we educate them.
