Don't know what to make of this show. I guess it's meant to be a
dramedy instead of a comedy (which could very well doom "Knights of
Prosperity" if it isn't doomed already). I like the characters but it
should have been funnier. Though it did show potential so maybe it's
one of those comedies that takes a few episodes to click.
Grade: C+

Big disappointment. It sounded like Gilmore girls, it looked like
Gilmore girls, but it did not feel like Gilmore girls. Oh, there were
a few of the witty lines we are used to, and a bit of the humor, but
the whole thing was just off a few dozen degrees. C+/B- at best.

I disagree...yes, there is an _apparent_ difference in the
latest ep of GG and previous eps, but that is simply because
of the radical changes taking place in the lives of the main
characters this season. If that's what you're referring to,
then OK, but if you are talking technical writing style
alone, I don't think so. If everything were to go back to
"normal" tomorrow, I think the style differences would be
negligible. Of course, that's just my opinion at the moment.
Time will tell. ...tonyC

Grade: B-
This show has a great couple of cast members (Ted Danson and Jane
Kaczmarek)...but the supporting cast came off like that other comedy (The
Class) in that none of them seem interesting in their own right. I like
very much that this show started with character development rather than
throwing everything and the kitchen sink at the first episode, though. It
is certainly a show with potential...if they find a good timeslot with
compatible shows.

BTW, I was surprised to see Back to the Future 'Biff' in the cast. However,
I don't think his character worked. He was supposed to be a car salesman,
but he played 'Biff the car detailing guy' rather than 'biff the noogie
giving guy'. I'd think that a car salesman should be more along the lines
of 'Biff the noogie giving guy'...and that type of new boyfriend' would be a
better annoyance for the Ted Danson character.

He seemed to be playing the same guy he played on Freaks & Geeks.
