Ironically as all hell, this kind of thing really pisses me off. Do they
think I'm going to rush out to see this film because there were tits on
the poster? I'm sorry, it's going to take more than that. Although of
course seeing "Joss Whedon" in the teeny credits at the bottom of the
poster might do it.
Better question; Is this real or just a "stunt picture?"
Unlikely they'd be able to keep who got the role under wraps
for more than 2 seconds.

No, those are stunt boobs; I don't think they've even started to cast it
yet. There's a rumor that Joss wants Charisma but I don't think she has
the acting chops for it.

From TVGuide:
So much for Joss Whedon keeping Wonder Woman in the family. According
to an item in Tuesday's New York Post, the Buffy auteur is looking to
lasso either 7th Heaven's Jessica Biel or Oscar winner Kim Basinger to
slip into Lynda Carter's satin tights in his big screen WW flick. "Kim
would be used if Wonder Woman is older," an insider tells the Post,
"[and] Jessica if she's younger." What do you say we split the
difference and go with Lauren Graham. Please?
Adam Hughes is a very talented comic/cheesecake artist; his
signature "AH!" is clearly visible in the corner. This isn't supposed to
be any real actress; it's just a promo drawing.

There's no rumour as such. Just people on the internet who keep
suggesting it for some inexplicable reason.
Put the cast of the breasts down, and step away, Anim.

It's hardly inexplicable. Carpenter would be great for the role. Hence
people suggesting her.

It's not a picture at all. It's artwork by ADAM HUGHES. It's signed in the
bottom right corner -- AH!
Though Basinger as Hypolita would be fine with me.

Oh, come on -- that HAS to be a joke.
Carpenter would be great in the role, but there's no way she's going to

I think that the point of the poster, like with all teaser posters, is to

Um - she was a total moron on the first season of Buffy. Remember Willow

She was pretty much the definition of a bimbo at the start.
She didn't get smart until season 3.

I didn't see any evidence of stupid. Harmony was stupid. Cordelia was
not. Sure, she fell for Willow's ruse because she was not

Look, if Cordy had left the series at the end of season 1, or say anytime

"No, she wasn't."
Not really a stunning rebuttal. You've offered nothing other than your

That doesn't mean she wasn't bright anymore than it means Willow wasn't
gay just because we hadn't seen it on screen at that point.
Faith's life was ruined long before she ever even spoke to the mayor.

Her experience in L.A. was humbling to say the least.
Working with Angel exposed her to people who had very severe
problem and put her on their side. She couldn't see them as
'losers' and dismiss them anymore. At the end of S1 she was
cursed by a demon and made to feel all of the emotional pain
of 'everyone' and that had a very powerful impact on her.
The visions caused her to feel others pain also. Remember
her speech to Harmony about empty air-pockets being filled.
(I hated that dialog.) It took a year but it changed her
into a better person. From minor evil to good.

In 'Out of Mind Out of Sight' didn't an English teacher

We know Willow is smart. Cordelia, Buffy, Xander, and Willow
were all in some of the same academic classes so it follows
that they were all above average.
By her general demeanor and speech she just came off as

I thought that Wesley's evolution was well done. When we
first see him he is trained but has no field experience. He
has no leadership ability and therefore gets no respect. He
leaves in disgrace and sets out to make something of
himself. When we meet him again he has been hunting demons
and has some useful skills (languages, understanding of
demon culture) but is not yet competent. He then evolves in
competency and gains in respect and stature as he goes. I
don't see any sudden jump in Wesley's abilities. I see a
gradual evolution that was very well done.

Good point. Just barely in season 1, but she did squeak in. :-)
IMO the change can be totally accounted for by battle-hardening.

Wes is ANGEL's "Spike". He started out as a poofster but ... went dark ...
and toughened up. And died in the series finale with his one true
love--after having let go of love with a femme fatale. Denisof did a great
job with the role.

Now you've moved from personal opinion as evidence to ad hominems.
Well done.

Ah, so I imagined the episode where she aced her SATs and was accepted
to the Ivy League schools. Cool! That means my imagination is on par
with Joss Whedon's.
Fart.

More ad hominems... kinda getting redundant though. Can you come up with
some other more interesting way of not proving anything you say?

And another coward runs away...
If there are, this fella hasn't managed to come up with anything other
than her hitting the "delete" key when Willow told her to. However,
that's not stupidity, it's ignorance.
But it doesn't matter because he's killfiled me now. He's apparently one
of those people who is so insecure that if you don't agree with them
within two posts or if you ask them to actually back up what they say
instead of just accepting it on faith, they run away and hide their head
in the sand.
It's okay. Anim can be redeemed.

Ah yes, the plot device to bring about a complete personality
change--you can't beat that.
Plus, that was clearly a beginning computer class, which probably means
that the only reason Willow was there to begin with was as a TA. That
Cordelia is smart doesn't make her any less an idiot in that scene --
one more interested in gossiping than in her studies. This was, after
all, way back in '97, just before IMing really took off and email and
computers were still the domain of geeks until one learned how to use it
in jr. high or high school. Like the rest of the kids, Cordelia's a
sophomore here, and a rich, spoiled brat (who could always buy her
schoolwork from someone else) to boot -- I find it conceivable that she
was just starting to learn how to use a computer.
The joke wouldn't work *now,* though.

Cordelia was never a total bimbo, even in "Welcome to the Hellmouth"
when she was nice to Buffy. Then there came "Invisible Girl" where she
revealed depth. It was actually the later scenes when she was making
comments about how hard Marie Antoinette worked to look good that were
out of character.
Well, that may be true, but the fact remains she's almost a completely
different character on "Angel" than she was when she began on "Buffy".
Whether or not that gives you difficulty in suspending disbelief is up
to the individual, I guess.
But Willow wasn't gay until they decided to write it into the plot.
Which isn't saying much.
Well, there's always Jennifer Gardner and Halle Barry.
That's a joke. Then again, Barry reportedly ended up with one of the
two Joss Whedon lines that didn't get cut from the first X-Men movie,
so there is some history there.

Not in her opinion, and that's the point.
Escept with Spike, it worked in the opposite direction. He started out
tough and then got poofsterism added to his backstory and personality.
Has anybody suggested Terminatrix Kristanna Loken?

And he blames her terrible line reading for ruining his words.

Exactly. You can't go back to anything before we saw Vampire Willow that
says 'see she was gay all along' just as you can't go back to Cordy before,
at the earliest, OOMOOS and say 'see, she wasn't a bimbo'

Yes. But the problem here - Loken is Norwegen (and very obviously so),
while WW is supposed to be Mediterranean-looking...
P.S. And Loken's boobies aren't big enuff!!

Chronologically the poofsterness was first.
-- Ken from Chicago
Actually, in the character's current opinion, she has taken
responsibility for her evil deeds and no longer blames Buffy or anyone
else for her failures.
Matter of opinion. Yours is no more correct than anyone else's.
Actually, it would have been an okay line if she said it more off-the-cuff
and not so dramatically.

Me. Only to dismiss her as too Germanic looking for a genre that wants
to *downplay* its more fascistic elements.
I agree, but by SPIKE's standards, shy and sensitive = poofsterness (kinda
like Angel).

Yes, this seems like a lovely bit of airhead-speak but it isn't.
"Expensive", as Cordelia knows, is subjective: that new detergent might
be expensive and that flawed diamond cheap. "Costs more" is finite,
measureable and therefore attainable. Cordelia has to have the thing
that costs more than anybody else can afford, the thing that's
impossible for anybody else to get, because her world is about
measureable things and she intends to be the material girl at the top.
And since Cordelia is living in the very material world of American
society that the rest of us also occupy, she's usually right. Cordelia
may be a bitch-goddess but she has a calculator for a brain, something
she demonstrates later by acing her SATs.

The line Berry blew was 'do you know what happens to a toad hit by lighting?
the same as anything else'
the other was wolverine trying to prove who he was to cyclops
"it's me"
"prove it"
"You're a dick"
"okay"
I disagree - his human personality *was* shy & sensitive, but that
