Oh yeah, the show is freaky awesome like that! 8-)

On a more serious note, this show can sometimes be a lot more
disturbing than the other serial killer shows (eg. CRIMINAL MINDS)
combined. It humanizes the titular character, and you end up thinking
more deeply about Dexter's psychopathy and corresponding mental state.
Now with the addition of Lithgow's character, it's even better!

The other "daughter" is suitably creepy, too. What did they call her
by accident, Vera? The actress is so familiar, where have we seen her
before?

Actually, the kind of creepy is not all that different from the scenes
with Trinity and his victims.

She said (omitting the pauses and stammers):
I just wanted to say I'm really sorry about what happened to you.
I can't even imagine looking into the eyes of the person you love
watching him as he takes his last breath.

Maybe if you'd get that big bug out of your ass you could pay attention
to what's happening onscreen.

Read what I said: we (and Deb) were NOT supposed to recognize it as an
acknowledgement of guilt. Now that we know more, we can retcon it.

It's like an apology made to an empty room. Is that an actual apology?
Give me a break. Retcon all you like but it was no apology at all.

You're wrong, Barry.

Anyway, it was utterly stupid. If she didn't intend to assassinate Keith
Carrdine in front of a witness, why the fuck did she do it? It's not like
she was unaware that Deb was there.
