Has anyone compiled a list of "creative names" used by the SNL
character who sits next to the photocopier? e.g. Bruce!
The Bruce-ster...Bruce making copies...Bruce-meister...

If so, can someone mail me a copy. If not, can someone who
tapes SNL put together a list?

(This skit is apparently becoming a national fad, not unlike the
Sorry-about-that-chief craze of the mid 1960s)

I agree. It's hard to even find people these days who watch SNL and yet
everyone seems aware of this sketch and around work here everyone has started
greeting each other that way! "Hey Tim... The Tim-man... Tim-Tim-bo-bim...
Timmmmmm.... The Tim-inator...."

BTW, who were the guest and band that night? I missed the episode, but
I want to make sure to catch it in reruns. (which should be in a couple
weeks :^)

I have both "Rich-meister" skits on tape (and digitized for SPARC
audio-- talk about driving your co-workers crazy...).

I am not going to type in the entire script, but here are the
names used in the first skit by Richard (Rob Schneider); I'll
do the second one when I get the chance:

Tom (Mike Myers):

"Tom", "Tom-may", "The Tom-ster", "Tom-man", "Tom-Tom", "Mr. Tom"

Bill (actually "Randy", Kevin Nealon):

"Bill", "Bil-lay", "The Billster", "Bill-man", "Billy-Bill-Bill"

Randy (Kevin Nealon):

"Ran-day", "The Randster", "The Ran-Man"

Steve (Phil Hartman):

"Steve", "The Steve-Man", "Steve-o-rama", "Steve-o-ramavich",
"Steve-o", "Steverino", "Steve-meister", "Stevenator"

Sandy (Julie Sweeney):

"Sandy", "The Sandster", "San-day", "Sandita", "The Sandstress"

Sting (Sting):

"Sting", "der Stinglehoffer", "The McStingster", "Stingatola",
"Sting-a-ling-a-ding-ding-ding-dong"

The guest (and band) was Sting. This episode of SNL IMHO, was
one of the best I have seen in a long, long time, reaching, dare I say
it, Belushiesque levels. My favorite sketch was the "Sinatra group",
modeled after the "McLaughlin Group", with an extremely abrasive and
rude Phil Hortman (sp?) as Sinatra as a talk show host and Milli-VAnilli
lookalikes and Sting as guests. It was hilarious, with language and
situations that I have not seen in a while.
All in all, this episode is a must-see. Try to find it on tape
with someone.

Milli Vanilli?
Try Sting as Billy Idol
Jan Hooks as Sinead O'Conner
Chris Rock (horribly) as Luther Campbell of 2 Live Crew
Victoria Jackson as Eydie Gorme
Mike Myers as Steve Lawrence
Phil Hartman as Frank Sinatra

Rob Schneider has played Richard (the name mangler) twice: on January 19,
when Sting was host and guest musical performer, and again on February 9,
with Kevin Bacon and INXS.

On Feburary 23 (Alec Baldwin/Whitney Houston), Lorne Michaels referred to
the character, but Richard (or Schneider at any point in the show for that
matter) did not make an appearance.

It was on Roseanne Barr's show that Lorne Michaels appeared.
