I watched:

TCM UNDERGROUND:
"Night Train To Terror". This incredibly amateurish portmanteau picture
that credits no fewer than five directors is primarily cobbled together
from parts of three features, two were directed by the stupendously
untalented John Carr (and one of them was never finished) and the third
by Phillip Marshak, who made 1979's Dracula Sucks with hardcore stars
Jamie Gillis, Annette Haven and Reggie Nalder (who may be best known
for playing the vampire in the original SALEM'S LOT) hiding behind the
pseudonym Detlef van Berg. All were apparently written by veteran
screenwriter Philip Yordan, who must have fallen on seriously hard
times. They're connected by sequences of God and Satan (both played by
veteran actor Ferdy Mayne, though God is credited as "Himself" and
Satan as "Lu Cifer") game on a train — the very night train to terror
promised by the title — whose only other passengers are a new wave band
giving their final performance for a carload of fans. God and Mr. Satan
squabble over the fate of mankind, and Mr. Satan finally settles things
by pointing out that people will inevitably choose evil over good,
because his path "is much more fun. I offer adultery, alcohol, tobacco,
cocaine, greed, rape, murder, war... all the fun things. That's why
you're losing so many." Oddly, the protagonists of the three stories
appear to be having very little fun, with the exception of the last
segment's foppish Mr. Hansen. The first tale, assembled from pieces of
Carr's never-completed "Scream Your Head Off," involves newlywed Harry
Billings (1960s icon John Philip Law) who kills his bride in a car
accident on their wedding night. He wakes up in an asylum that doubles
as a body-parts warehouse, and Briggs is ordered to kidnap women and
bring them back so the insane Otto (Richard Moll, of TV's Night Court)
can strip and grope them before cutting them up and hanging their limbs
on hooks. Gory and incoherent. In the second, condensed from Carr's
1983 Death Wish Club, pre-med student Glen Marshall (Rick Barnes) falls
in love with porn star Gretta (Meridith Haze). They join a death club
whose members kill themselves in bizarre ways; the most entertaining
scene in the whole awful mess involves death by stop-motion deadly
exotic beetle. In the third and final segment, cut down from Marshak's
1980 Cataclysm (also variously released as Satan's Supper, The
Nightmare Never Ends and Shiver), a man identified only as "The
Lieutenant" (Cameron Mitchell) is hunting the apparently immortal James
Hansen (Moll again), playboy author of "God Is Dead." Hansen's swanky
home is protected by a stop-motion demon that kills intruders, and
Hansen may be the Devil himself, since he has hairy legs like a goat.
But it's hard to say for sure. This dreadful cut-and-paste job played
the bottom of grindhouse double bills and looked shabby even by those
standards.

TCM UNDERGROUND:
"Stephen King's 'Cat's Eye'". A three-tale anthology involving a
housecat. Why do people make movies of this crappy author?

THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN:
Yeah, not very rewatchable.

THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA:
"Shade for Days". Kenya continues to build her dream home, only to
discover her family relationships need construction too. Meanwhile,
Porsha journeys to Los Angeles to cover an awards show; and Cynthia
celebrates her eyewear line with a customer-appreciation event, where
Porsha and Kandi stir up the drama.

FAMILY GUY:
"Candy, Quahog Marshmallow". Peter, Cleveland and Joe find an old VHS
tape of a soap opera that Quagmire starred in when he lived in Korea.
When they can't find the series finale, the guys head to Korea to
search for it, where Quagmire is reunited with an old lover fromn the
show. I guess one had to be there to get it.

BORDERTOWN:
"The Engagement". A cartoon about two families near the
American/Mexican border. It was about as funny as you'd expect
something from Hollywood leftists.

What did you watch?

The preview for this on FAMILY GUY got me to change the channel
instantly.

BORDERTOWN: The latest FOX Network animated show full of bad drawings
of ugly characters acting ugly. I miss the days when KING OF THE HILL
had a hot blonde 'dsaughter' in the family and a hot blonde neighbor and
a 'cute girl next door'. Now, their shows have daughters that
look/sound like fat men and they do jokes about how those daughters will
be played by Jonah Hill in the movie and fat, ugly neighbors and fat,
ugly coworkers. The whole show played out like one long commercial about
why people should not eat at Taco Bell. The closest thing to humor here
was a sight gag for BREAKING BAD (which everyone had to be expecting)
and a high brow joke about car speed (which was a callback to the son's
comment on driving speed) delivered by the dad. One and done for me.

UNDATEABLE: I watched the latest two episodes of this now 'live' show
which was guest starring Whitney Cummings. The show still isn't funny
and Chris D'Elia's role here is about the same as if SEINFELD had put
the Kramer character in the lead role. That being said, I started the
episode up on Hulu and found...commercials. The same episode on NBC.com
was streamed without commercials. As long as the networks continue to
offer their old stuff commercial free after a few days, why would anyone
choose to watch Hulu? That being asked, I did notice that both the Hulu
and the NBC stream had one abrupt edit achieved through a second or so
of black screen...I guess to cut out something that was inappropriate
for TV...so 'live', but still sensored for content?

ORPHAN BLACK: The first 4 episodes from the latest season. This show
is still fun to watch as it mixes comedy plotlines with dark/violent
moments with just a tiny touch of sci-fi. Apparently, the lead female
is also doing the voiceover for the scorpion, but it sure sounded like
Shelley from HEMLOCK GROVE was speaking.

Why? BORDERTOWN was every bit styled (drawing, humor, family dynamic)
just like FAMILY GUY.

There's really no such thing as true live TV anymore. Everything, including
sports and news broadcasts, is on a 10-second delay so they can squelch
anything "inappropriate" that happens to occur. If they don't run the
delay, the FCC holds them liable for any indecency offenses, even if it was
done by someone beyond their control (e.g., a fan in the stands).

So you watched this bad film 2 weekend days in a row? Holy shit!

I watched this too! My god it was bad!!! I know it was cobbled
together from several different movies but even the self contained
segments themselves seemed to be pasted together from multiple sources.
It was completely incoherent. On top of that add bad dubbing to fill
in the gaps. Then there was stop motion so bad it could hardly be
called motion. And *why* did they (poorly) animated the people too!!!!
Then maybe worst of all was the music videos they stuck in there for
*no* reason without any kind of payoff for the band at the end (other
than the obvious). I kept waiting for a story about the band that never
materialized.

How have I never heard of this movie before being mentioned along side
Troll 2, The Room and Manos the Hand of Fate. I've never actually
watched The Room or Manos, but they're infamous enough that I've *heard*
of them. There's no excuse for a movie *this* bad being obscure!

Galavant - "A New Season aka Suck It Cancellation" - Galavant is back
for more musical comedy. It was generally OK but I didn't give it my
full attention.

Race for your life Charlie Brown - This is the only Charlie Brown movie
I really like (or I can remember watching). I've recorded it a couple
of times before but kept deleting it unwatched. This time I had it on
as background noise while I did other stuff. The basic plot is Charlie
brown and gang go camping / river rafting and have to fend off some
bullies. There's a running gag where the girls led by Peppermint Patty
"vote" on *everything*. It actually held up fairly well.

Strike Back - Series finale - I must have missed *something* along the
way because the entire episode has the two heroes being chased by a band
of mercenaries and I have no recollection of where the mercenaries came
from. Apparently the mercenaries were trying to recapture a prisoner
the heroes had except the heroes didn't actually have a hero to recapture.

Needful Things (blu-ray) 1993 movie based on a Steven King story about a
store in small town Maine that sales people their hearts desires in
exchange for causing a little mischief which leads to major mayhem.
It's probably been over 20 years since I last watched this and really
couldn't remember anything that was going to happen. It held up fairly
well. Max von Sydow as the store owner (and possibly devil) had some
good one-liners.

Trainwreck (Netflix rental) - Amy Schumer and Bill Hader star in this
Judd Apatow romantic comedy. Amy plays a commitment-phobic woman who
falls for Hader's sports medicine character. It was funny enough but a
bit too long.

Dragon Blade (Netflix rental) - Set during the Roman Empire, John Cusack
plays a Roman general who flees to China in order to protect a young
royal boy. Once there he encounters Jackie Chan who is guarding a city
the Romans need to hide in. After an initial fight, the two of them
join forces to fend off Adrien Brody who is pursuing the boy. This was
pretty bad. Not Night Train to Terror bad but bad.

I'm not sure, but the OnDemand version had the same cut to black in the
first Whitney Cummings episode. FWIW, I don't that was a "censor"
cut-to-black, but was instead a "technical difficulty" cut-to-black.

The Chargers-Broncos game went about as expected, though at least the
Chargers managed to keep it close, and fairly exciting. But this game
was probably over as soon as Peyton Manning entered the game... :\
In the other games, man, the Cardinals are choke artists too! Most of
the rest of the games went as expected, though Green Bay confirmed my
fears that this isn't their year, by losing to Minnesota in their final
crucial faceoff.

Austin & Ally marathon (Disney) - I only bring this up, because this
marathon has really confirmed something that is generally true about the
"tween shows" on both Disney and NICK - if they're good, the "tween"
shows' first seasons are good, their second seasons are still pretty
good, but by the time their third seasons roll around they start getting
bad (with only the occasional good episode...), and if they make it to
season #4 they generally start to *stink, bad*! A&A definitely followed
this arc: seasons #1-2 are pretty good, but season #3 is mostly bad
(with just a few decent episodes), and season #4 has been almost
entirely *awful*, to the point where I am *still* wondering why Disney
even bothered to greenlight a season #4!
But that's the same arc that most of these shows follow. Few escape
this natural series arc ("Jessie" may be one show that was an exception,
and which was pretty much the same quality all the way through...).

Bad Sister (Lieftime) - Pretty much as expected, but amusing
nonetheless. ;)
I missed the very beginning of this, so I'm not sure if it was ever
explained why Alyshia Ochse (the "Bad Sister") was the way she was. In
any case, she appropriates the identity of a nun at a boarding catholic
school in Los Angeles (sidenote: such a school does NOT exist! in fact,
I'm not sure if there's a Catholic boarding school *anywhere* in the
U.S.!!), and then immediately becomes obsessed with grownup Ned Bigby
(Devon Werkheiser, who is now probably legitimately *too old* for roles
like this... :( ) who sings awful "heartfelt" folksy nonsense songs on
his guitar and wants to make a career of it!! It's not long before "Bad
Sister" has seduced poor sap Ned Bigby, but his sister (Ryan Newman)
smells a rat.
I did like it when "Bad Sister" violently attacked the school's
resident blond tramp (Sloane Avery) in the shower!

Recorded for later: The Wrong Roommate (off LMN), and Galavant (season
#2 premiere!!).

Good point, maybe the cut to black was something on the broadcast other
than a guy in the control tower hitting an emergency bleep button.

That's another of those lines that you could probably just write a macro

Who needs a macro? Just type it once into a simple text doc, then

In some newsreaders you could set it up various canned responses as
different signatures, then just pick the appropriate one from a pop-up
menu. :-)

On the Mac there's an auto-expander application called TypeIt4Me that
will automatically expand text for you, so you can set it up to
"copy-n-paste" whenever you type "cnp" (for example).

True, but a macro is easier once you have ready to go. And in a case
like this where you're gonna be using it a whole heck of a lot, it's
worth the setup time. :)

If you mean the old Mac DA, then there are quite a few replacement
