This season of Glick hasn't been nearly as fun as last; although, Sir

Jiminy down a tad?

65 episodes without long-haired music geek! The Gods have smiled on

Shouldn't that read retard level triva questions?

No, Stupid, the long haired guy was the replacement for the short haired
guy. He's still on the show. I got this information straight from the
"horse's mouth" (Paul Goebel).

If you check the Beat the Geeks page at comedycentral.com, it says they're
looking for contestants and a Music Geek.

Hey, what about Tiffany Bolton? Okay, admittedly the attraction
is about 99% hormonal, but still...

Seriously, I get the impression that when they're not doing
their contractually mandated trash-talk routines the three
regular geeks would be okay people to hang out with. Or at
least to have participating in their appropriate newsgroups.

But the long haired music geek NEVER gets any of the questions
right?!? Bessie could do a better job in that role.

Why is J. Keith van Straaten being replaced as host of "Beat the Geeks"?
The show works perfectly as it is. When Ben Stein's two co-hosts, Jimmy
and Nancy were replaced, the show lost its special chemistry. I'm
distressed that the same thing is going to happen to "Beat the Geeks".

Why are the producers trying to fix something that isn't broken??

people probably got him confused with Matt Damon? Besides he's really not that
good of a host somebody who can fire off insults would be a bit better

>The show works perfectly as it is. When Ben Stein's two co-hosts, Jimmy

kimmel should have never left. While he also left radio to do "The Man Show"
let's not forget Jimmy won an Emmy for Win Ben Stein's Money and he was far
better on that show than he is on "The Man Show" but don't get me wrong he's
good on both shows he was just far better with Ben. Nancy Pimental sucked as
co-host she was rarely funny and she couldn't compete with Ben AT ALL!

> I'm
>distressed that the same thing is going to happen to "Beat the Geeks".

well, let's not forget that when you have a good show and when you get a new
host that new host doesn't always spell doom for the show while it's still in
first run. ANYBODY IMHO would be better than Van Straaten. Personally I'd
like to see somebody like Conan O'Brien host who's very manic and sarcastic
because you can really make this show something if you have a wacky host
instead of a straight level question reader

>Why are the producers trying to fix something that isn't broken??

despite the cast changes on WBSM the show is still a hit and will probably be
around for a few more years. Beat the Geeks just doesn't have the longitiveity
to it I'm afraid. Which is a shame because it's got real hit potential to it

I'd strongly disagree that it's not broken; however, J. Keith is absolutely
NOT the problem.
Strange move, indeed.
