Here's another MST topic to distract from the "when is it on" question. (Not
that the question isn't important...I just already know! :-) )

What would other MSTies consider some of the best control room sequences that
the show's had so far? My wife and I were discussing this last night (amazing
what you'll talk about to take your mind off the kitten chewing off your
kneecaps), and we came up with several. For example:

--The multiple endings for "Daddy-O"
--Tom's serenade to "Creepy Girl" ["Catalina Caper"]
--The "surrealism" bit in "Robot Monster"
--The discussion of scientific realism after a pair of Commando Cody's.
["Robot Monster"]
--SPACOM. 'Nuff said. :-) ["Project Moonbase"]
--Everyone turning into Isaac Asimov ["Women of the Prehistoric Planet"]

Others? Comments? Anyone care for a mint? :-)

And all FaBuLoUs examples, by the way.

Also from "Catalina Caper", and one of my personal favorites, Joel
describing the '60s. "Did I mention they had drugs back then?"

Some of my favorite host segments:

Gypsy throwing up copies of everything Tom Servo suggested. ["Untamed Youth"]
Tom Servo hitting on a blender. ["Mad Monster"]
The "go-bos"/scopes segment. ["Jungle Goddess"]
The Demon Dogs. ["Robot vs. The Aztec Mummy"]
The "attack of the killer hands" segment. ["The Crawling Hand"]
Joel's "Joey the Lemur" puppet show. ["King Dinosaur"]
Tom Servo and Crow as Orville Reddenbacher and gransdon. ["Godzilla vs.
Megalon"]
Examining the contents of Gypsy's brain. ["Moon Zero Two"]
Joel getting attacked after serenading Gypsy. ["Wild Rebels"]
Almost any segment from this season. (The host segments have been especially
great this season in my opinion.)

And a special listing for my favorite alien encounters. Mike Nelson as:
Valeria. ["Rocketship X-M"]
Gamera. ["Gamera"]
Bruce. ["Daddy-O"]

I could go on and on. I'm sure I'm forgetting something that would
definitely be on my list.

Lordy, the two interludes from Daddy-o had me rolling on the floor --
the Pants-up song, and the car race were just killer!

There are two I really like, both from one of the Godzilla movies
(the one with Jet Jaguar, the robot)...the first is "Rex Stark,
Eskimo Spy" and the takeoff of Orville Redenbacker & his grandson.

Obj. MST3K: "They're filming a Kotex commercial...wait, I'm a robot,
I don't know about Kotex" - Crow, "Sidehackers"

Why, thank you. I've worked hard at them. :-)

I just saw that one a couple of days ago. Superb, definitely.

>Some of my favorite host segments:

Absolutely. I don't believe I left that one out.

>The Demon Dogs. ["Robot vs. The Aztec Mummy"]

Yes! I couldn't remember which show they were in!

"I hate you! I hate you! :-)

And while we're on Gypsy-related ones...

Let's not forget Gypsy as the Black Scorpion attacking Tom. ("Tom, why'd you
have to break Gypsy?" "She tried to _consume_ me, Joel!")

A lot of them, yes.

I think we can add Glen Manning to that one too. :-)

Of course, the opening this last Saturday when Crow and Servo didn't
want to come out and clean the Load Pan Bay (whatever that is . . . I
know, it's just a show I should really just relax).

And then later when the 'bots explain how sensitive they are.

Raj

"Hey, Servo, how'd you get your arm to work?"

I hope this means you saw it on tape?? I set my VCR to tape Jungle
Goddess last Friday (the day it was due in the cycle) but messed up and
taped nothing. I like JG, but I am absolutely nuts about Catalina
Caper, which I think is about the best they've ever done. I was
expecting it this coming Friday. Did I miss it???? AUUUGGGHHH!!

PS: I just watched "SPACOM" again last night. Absolutely sublime.
