It’s splitsville for Wendy Moniz and Tom Selleck. Well, on his new CBS
series Blue Bloods, anyway.
The Damages actress— who appeared as Selleck’s love interest in the
pilot for the cop-family drama—has been dropped from the cast for
creative reasons. The recurring role will now be played by Rescue Me’s
Andrea Roth.
No explanation was given for the recast. The few scenes in the pilot
that featured Moniz will not be reshot with Roth.
What do you think? Will Roth have better chemistry with Selleck than
Moniz would have? Am I the only one who kinda-sorta only ever pictures
him opposite Courteney Cox? Answers below.
That's kind of too bad. I like both actresses, but Moniz needs this
role more (though she is pretty young for Selleck!).
Moniz is 41. That's too young for Selleck? Roth will be 43 in Sept.
That's pretty close, agewise, Muniz to Roth.

Uh, Tom Selleck is 65, quite old enough to be the father of Andrea Roth
as well.
Does this mean she won't be in the regular cast of "Rescue Me" any more?
I like her, even though she sure as hell ain't Irish!
I think "Rescue Me" is pretty close to wrapping up filming on both the
2010 and 2011 episodes, which were all being shot together.
She doesn't seem to be on ROBOCOP THE SERIES any more either.

She was on that? Diana Powers/Neurobrain
That was 15 years ago. Just don't recall the character. Was she an evil
OCP executive, or a relatively ethical one, or just a technician?
The short lived syndicated television series was great, much better than
the two sequel movies. The devastating satire was the best part. The
"Prime Directives" miniseries years later was somewhat disappointing,
although it had its moments.
She was somebody that got killed in the first ep and came back as an
electronic ghost. See Hudson Leick in KNIGHT RIDER 2010 or whichever
version it was.
Damn. Why isn't somebody showing all the movies with 2010 in the title?
Like, um, 2010.

Oh, yeah. They didn't use her a lot, did they.

You watch that so I don't have to.
Hey, I'd watch darn near anything for my sweet Callisto. I wouldn't
mind having her haunting my car.
