Wow, people like this really DO exist?!
Seriously, though... I hope Jodi, all jazzed about being on Primetime
television, Googles her own name and reads this. I know a person like
Tom Cruise doesn't have the time to read every (...or even, ANY) posts
about him in the newsgroups, but Jodi needs to wake up and learn how to
truly live! Her husband, too. Wow, the most precious thing he learned
was the appreciation of being able to hand off your own crying child to
a nanny. Yeah, he's got going on in the parenthood department. A match
made in parenting hell.
I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M SAYING THIS, BUT...: "DR. PHIL, HELP THESE PEOPLE
OUT!" lol
It truly amazes me that people like this even HAVE children. Do you
think they do because it somehow benefits them socially? I just can't
figure it out....
But at least Jodi did seem to kind of "get it" at the end of the 10
days......I'm curious to know how long that lasted though. Her
husband on the other hand.......

Still no mention of $50,000 on W.S. I guess it's only 'Trading Spaces:
Meet Your New..." that offers the 50-Gs. But wait a minute... if that's
the case, then why doesn't everyone just audition for T.S.? Must be a
cash prize for airing your dirty (uh, filthy!) laundry.
Yes, people like this do exist in NYC--the self-involved, clueless,
status obsessive drones? They're everywhere. And Jodi's husband is
the typically self-obsessed Wall Streeter type who also populates the
city in droves. The book 'The Nanny Diaries' doesn't really
exaggerate.
Jodi actually had some skills in the empathy department. She brought
out the NJ husband's appreciation for his wife and was able to
befriend him, while she herself learned the value of being with one's
family. Jodi's husband on the other hand didn't learn some deep
hidden desire within to spend more time with his family--he learned
that he doesn't like to do that and saw no compelling reason for any
change in the household. Jodi at least, has a soul. Her husband is
bereft of emotions thanks to his sense of entitlement and swank
lifestyle...he probably didn't get enough hugs as a child.
The NJ couple, ironically, had a more unbalanced life between the two
than the Manhattan couple's when it came to personal responsibility.
The wife got to relax and her lazy family got off their butts. (Argh,
I'm not remembering anyone else's names)
This was one intense episode! You can't write this kind of stuff.

One thing that surprised me is that the N.J. teen daughters weren't
put to work. I didn't anticipate that the husband would start doing
housework by himself (or at all) while there were still able-bodied
females in the household. However, we only saw a tiny part of their
two weeks, heavily edited.
