My Diet Is Better Than Yours [new] (9 pm, ABC)

Mom (returns from hiatus) (9 pm, CBS)

Angel From Hell [new] (9:30 pm, CBS)

Stars Jane Lynch in a single-camera comedy about Amy (Lynch), a
colorful, brassy woman who insinuates herself into Allison's (Maggie
Lawson) organized and seemingly perfect life, claiming to be her
"guardian angel." Allison is an intense, driven doctor who is sure that
Amy is just an inebriated, outspoken nut, until every one of her
warnings proves true. Cautioned by Amy not tell anyone about her,
Allison can't discuss this over-the-top oddball with her father and
business partner, Marv (Kevin Pollak), a sunburned dermatologist who
shares an office with Allison, or her younger brother, Brad (Kyle
Bornheimer), a pharmaceutical sales rep who lives over her garage. As
Allison tries to push Amy away, Amy makes her final pitch: her sole
mission is to provide Allison with helpful guidance that nudges her in
the right direction in life - and it's her final chance to prove herself
as an angel. With that, Allison agrees to this unlikely relationship
because maybe a weird friend is exactly what she needs... and what if
Amy really is her "guardian angel"?

Elementary (returns from hiatus) (10 pm, CBS)

Shades of Blue [new] (10 pm, NBC)

Police drama starring Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta. Harlee Santos
(Jennifer Lopez) is a charismatic single mother and resourceful
detective at the heart of a tight-knit crew of Brooklyn detectives, led
by enigmatic Lt. Matt Wozniak (Ray Liotta) who often leads the team to
step outside the limitations of the law in order to effectively protect
their precinct and their own. As a big illegal job looms on the horizon,
the FBI catches Harlee in the act and pits her against her own unit. As
a newly turned informant, Harlee struggles to safeguard her on-the-job
family and avoid arrest in order to stay with her daughter. Harlee
engages in a perilous dance with her FBI handler, Special Agent Stahl
(Warren Kole), who develops an unhealthy obsession with her. Meanwhile,
Wozniak, acting as the unit's patriarch, begins an all-consuming hunt
for the informant. Pressure mounts as the crew struggles to perform
their brand of street justice under FBI watch. The series also stars
Drea de Matteo, Dayo Okeniyi, Vincent Laresca, Hampton Fluker and Sarah
Jeffery. Santino Fontana is a recurring guest star. 13 episodes.

Todd Margaret (season 3) (10 pm, IFC)

Based in London, the series is created, written by and stars David Cross
as Todd Margaret, an American lacking any sense of good judgment. After
a three-year hiatus, the show will return to IFC in 2015 with six
all-new, half-hour episodes picking up where the second season left off
when Todd detonates a battery of nuclear bombs that incinerate the
planet. The first three episodes will air back-to-back tonight, with the
remaining three episodes premiering the following week. Formerly titled
The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret

Real Detective [new] (10 pm,
Investigation Discovery)

Brings to life the real homicide cases these seasoned pros can never
forget. With narrative driven exclusively by the detectives themselves,
each episode ventures deep into the mind of a homicide detective as they
describe in vivid detail the one case forever ingrained in their memory.
Inspired by HBO's acclaimed series "True Detective."

There are both in FL, but gators don't do salt water. They like them
some fresh and you can see lots if you take US41 across the Glades
from Naples on the way to the Keys. I took I75 across Alligator Alley
'cause I was in a hurry. Crocs do both salt and fresh but there
aren't as many so you don't see them that often unless you putter
around in the mangroves off the S FL coast. I think most of the
freshwater crocs are in the Ft Lauderdale area and New River but I may
be off on that. Having trouble seeing the keyboard for some reason.

Hemingway's cats. He adopted some six toed cats and they've been
breeding ever since.

When I was a kid we had a cat we called SOSSY, short for Spirt Of
Seventy-Six, because he had seven toes on his front paws and six on his
rear.

Geez, rich Americans. ;-)

Most places just put up road signs with a silhouette picture of the
animal (kangaroo, hedgehog, duck, deer, etc.) ... there's even one with
children on it near school.

Sometimes they might even build a tunnel under the road, which is
fairly easy for small animals like hedgehogs, but gets expensive for
bigger things like cows (although I have seen such tunnels for farmers
to get live stock from a paddock on one side of the road to another on
the other side.).
