What the hell is her reason for being on CNN? She contributes nothing
that Anderson Cooper can't bring up himself. Every night the two have
a 5-minute repartee in which all she does is appear as little more
than vacant eye candy while she makes all those weird faces, keeps
shifting her eyes to her right, always flashes that gummy smile of
hers, and what do we really get out of her when it's over? Nothing
but just one big question mark as to why she's even on, and is that
all she does at CNN? Or is she merely there to make Cooper look less
gay?

She got a gig at CNN before Anderson Cooper. She came from the late, great,
TechTV. Erica was one of the first of the good TechTV hosts that got the
hell out of there after the buyout that brought us that load of putrid,
gut-wrenchingly horrible, piteous excuse for a television channel, G4.
TechTV was one of the best channels on television, cable or satellite.
Erica was given a spot on the HNN, and now, she helps out with the AC 360
slot.

--- Well, that's all very nice and well, but it still doesn't explain
what she's doing on CNN that's of any relevance to anyone.

Erica Hill has a cackle in her voice that makes me turn off the sound or change the Chanel. Why she is allowed to continue on her job as a broadcaster with a voice like that simply amazes me.

I have written CNN MANY TIMES TO COMPLAIN ABOUT Erica Hill's cackling voice. It is so annoying I cannot watch the show even though I enjoy news programming. There is a cackle in her voice that just shouldn't be on any station much less CNN Iguess they just don't care who is on air.

I don't mind her a bit. Erica also had her own CNN show called "Prime News with Erica Hill". She was also on CBS News This Morning and on The Early Show (2010–2012) and The Early Show Saturday Edition.

I like it. That voice is aesthetically pleasing to me.

I don't know how this website works, and I have been afraid to criticize Ms. Hill, but it was honestly a relief to find that some people also find her voice so hard to listen to that they have to change the channel. Why, if so many complaints have been registered with CNN, do they keep her on their shows?

It is impossible to get past the voice that sounds like a band saw, regardless of whether or not she might be talking about something newsworthy. Terrible vpice. Terrible really.

I've always wondered why women such as yourself feel so so annoyed by each others' voices. Like with Mary Hart, the host of Entertainment Tonite (1982-2011).

This ugly woman (Erica Hell or Hill)on CNN should get away and get lost. She does not have what it takes for a news presenter.
Her voice and looks are very annoying. It is like crunching sun-dried chips without anything. CNN is going to lose a lot
of viewers for just keeping her. I am only hoping that she will go away and disappear soon.
