The BBC version from last week is actually half decent. Nicely updated
and a hell of a lot better than the Prisoner.

That's nice. But what would be better is news about when it's going to be
airing in the US. And while they're bringing over UK shows, don't forget
about the UK Law and Order. I want to see that too!

How did it compare to the previous BBC mini series?

If it's the same one I'm thinking of (from the early 80s), this one
updates the story to make it suitably 21st Century. Some of the original
plot points are not there either.

That was a "classic"...? (:-/)

I don't remember much about it now, except that -- having been a fan
of the book -- it irritated the hell out of me.

It was awful, but the little girl looked a lot like someone I had a
crush on at the time, so the movie worked for me.

I was 9.

I love the book; from it's standpoint, both filmed versions annoy the

I remember liking the 1981 BBC version, but I haven't seen it in twenty
years or so.

Did you see the Fox News story on the global warming scam? They exposed
all of the data manipulation, suppression and falsification the
"scientists" at the Climate Research Unit have been publishing to try and
keep the global warming scam alive. It shows that the famous "hockey
stick graph" is totally bogus. After the "climate gate" scandal, it's
just amazing that there are still people gullible enough to buy in to this
bullshit scam.

I only watched a couple of episodes of it. The first one and then the
one with the actress that played Helen Cutter on "Primeval", Juliet
Aubry. The show is very much in the L&O framework so it's okay, but
not compelling unless you are new to L&O. It's not like back when the
show was new and Michael Moriarty was doing a great job as the ADA.
