We must change the way we live
Or the climate will do it for us.
That's nice. But what would be better is news about when it's going to be
airing in the US. And while they're bringing over UK shows, don't forget
about the UK Law and Order. I want to see that too!

How did it compare to the previous BBC mini series?

Chris Mack "If we show any weakness, the monsters will get cocky!"
'Invid Fan' - 'Yokai Monsters Along With Ghosts'
If it's the same one I'm thinking of (from the early 80s), this one
updates the story to make it suitably 21st Century. Some of the original
plot points are not there either.

Or the Howard Keel classic?

Tiger Woods has just been named "Athlete of the Decade"
His chosen event? The Broad Jump.
That was a "classic"...? (:-/)
I don't remember much about it now, except that -- having been a fan
of the book -- it irritated the hell out of me.

It was awful, but the little girl looked a lot like someone I had a
crush on at the time, so the movie worked for me.
I was 9.
I got bored with UKL&O about 4 eps in, even with Martha Jones on board.

I love the book; from it's standpoint, both filmed versions annoy the
hell out of me.

I remember liking the 1981 BBC version, but I haven't seen it in twenty
years or so.

Did you see the Fox News story on the global warming scam? They exposed
all of the data manipulation, suppression and falsification the
"scientists" at the Climate Research Unit have been publishing to try and
keep the global warming scam alive. It shows that the famous "hockey
stick graph" is totally bogus. After the "climate gate" scandal, it's
just amazing that there are still people gullible enough to buy in to this
bullshit scam.

I only watched a couple of episodes of it. The first one and then the
one with the actress that played Helen Cutter on "Primeval", Juliet
Aubry. The show is very much in the L&O framework so it's okay, but
not compelling unless you are new to L&O. It's not like back when the
show was new and Michael Moriarty was doing a great job as the ADA.
What?
Thank you Captain Obvious.
You're welcome, Redundant Sidekick.
Here you go, troll. Climategate debunked like the other bullshit
"excuses" you think makes you look smart. Though, I doubt you'd want to
read it...heck, I doubt you could understand it:

Yes. He is.
..
Same for me.
I just found out there's a sequel book, NIGHT OF THE TRIFFIDS, but it's
out of print. :\
Yeah, you can picture Cloddreamer freeing the triffids, and enjoy the
thought of them eating her alive.
Agreed. If I hadn't already seen 20 years of L&O it might seem fresh;
as it was it was at best pedestrian. Also, much as I like Martha, she
has a tendency to walk in right as the stupid white men have agreed to
let the murderers go because they can't think of a way to prosecute them
and say "you stupid gits, how about section 4.b of the tardis act" and
the stupid white me go 'oh, yes, right, good show' and get back to work.
I hadn't heard of that. I do see that you can download it in ebook and
audio form now even though you can't purchase it right now.

Here is what appears to be a pretty complete review of the book.

I just watched it on Netflicks. I thought it was a lot better than the
original.
