If you saw a map of the DB/Z/GT world, you would know that it isn't our
world. Toriyama CREATED it. It isn't real.

The world of Dragonball is an imaginary one. He is, however, very,
very loosely based on a Chinese folklore character.
BTW, I've seen or heard about at least a couple more series where they had
that legend. There was one called Monkey Magic, a series that was more
tightly based on the monkey than DBZ, though I don't know how tightly based
it is.
The other one had a movie concerning that legend. If you remember Doraemon
(or Ding Dong in Chinese), you should know that the kid that the cat robot's
supposed to help, Nobita, assumed Goku's Chinese character, and in one
scene, he rode the cloud that we in North America know as the Flying Nimbus.

Words are more powerful than you think.
It was words that have brought down some of the most powerful politicians,
words that have initiated women's rights and gay rights and other human
rights, and
words that take knowledge right to the palms of our hands.
And we all know that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.
