It would not be much of a reunion.
The charm of the show was watching the interplay between Lee Stetson,
the smooth, competent professional, and Amanda King, the innocent who gets
by on sweet goodness and dumb luck.
Pick up on the Stetsons today, nearly 20 years after we first saw them.
If they're both still spies, Amanda isn't sweet and innocent anymore. If she
had stayed sweet and innocent, her luck would have run out and she would
have gotten blown away long ago. Amanda's innocence was what Lee loved about
her, so they're probably divorced. And the Agency doesn't exist anymore --
it got absorbed into the Department of Homeland Security!
A predictable scenario would be that the Stetsons got out of the spy
game and went underground in suburbia, where they live a gloriously ordinary
life. But a threat from long ago has resurfaced, and Billy Melrose's
successor (Mel Stewart died in February) comes looking for Mr. and Mrs.
Scarecrow, because they're the only ones still alive who have dealt with the
threat before. Lee and Amanda meet the new "Oz Network" , have trouble
adjusting to new people, equipment and policies. Frustrated, they end up
saving the day by doing things "the old-fashioned way," and the younger
generation has to nod their grudging respect for the living legends.

Kate Jackson , Bruce Boxleitner and Beverly Garland all have other projects.
Martha Smith's last film credit was 12 years ago.
Greg Morton and Paul Stout (Amanda's sons) grew up and got out of show
business.
Mel Stewart (Billy Melrose) and Sam Melville (Joe King) are dead.

They all have other projects now, true... but they are all gung-ho for a reunion
movie. I know this first hand, having spoke with Kate Jackson, Beverly Garland
and Martha Smith over the phone, e-mail, AIM, and in chat sessions (one of which
I hosted myself on IRC this past October 25, with Kate Jackson). As for Bruce,
Greg and Paul, I can't really speak for them directly, not having met them, but
those who spoke to Greg, Bruce, and Martha Smith at FanSource 2001 said they are
all *very* interested.

Kate Jackson is so interested, in fact, that she's met with three producers
about it! All that remains is to find a network and the right script.

Which is where our letter writing campaign comes in! :)

Anyway, just FYI! :)

Here are links to transcripts of two recent internet chats with Kate Jackson, in
case anyone is interested!

What are those projects?

IMDB shows that Jackson has a TV movie, "Miracle Dogs," scheduled for airing
in 2003. Boxleitner did a TV movie and three feature films in 2002 and has
at least one in the pipe for 2003. And even if Beverly Garland isn't as busy
in movies of TV, I'm sure she stays busy with at least two hotels that have
her name on them (the Beverly Garland Hotel in Sacramento, Calif. is where
state lottery winners stay when they come to spin the wheel of fortune -- I
stayed there when my brother took a turn. It's a nice place, annd I'm sure
the ticket-scratchers can be counted on to leave a fair chunk of their
winnings there)

Oh... and P.S.: For the record: Martha Smith never actually left "the biz." She's
been at work behind the camera since her last on-camera appearance. She has plans
to return to work in front of the camera, however, and not too long ago signed up
with a new agent.

Ms. Garland may run 2 hotels, but she finds time to act. She's made guest
appearances on several shows, including 7th Heaven, and has a regular role on the
soap opera Port Charles.

As I said, all of the surviving cast members that have been spoken to about it
definitely want a reunion movie. Kate Jackson herself has began taking steps to
actually make it happen.

You should read those chat transcripts I posted a link to. Kate talks about it,
and the letter-writing efforts of the fans.

She was great on PORT CHARLES in a recurring role, on every day for
awhile there, although she's not been seen in at least a year now, she
still is the crazy Grandmother of one of the younger leads. For some
reason I thought the hotel running was done by her daughter Carrington
Garland. But, at any rate, the schedules you describe don't sound
nearly busy enough to prevent reunion movie participation, but, then,
the participants aren't usually the problem with those anyway. Thanks
for listing the IMDb upcoming credits. I had taken it from your post
that you knew more than just that.

I wish Kate would devote her efforts to getting Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn
Smith to agree to a "Charlie's Angels" reunion instead.
